Target Market Determination

Issuer: Thrivest Pty Ltd
Product: Thrivest Personal Loan
Effective date: April 2026
Version: 1.1

This Target Market Determination (TMD) describes who the Thrivest Personal Loan is designed for and how it may be distributed. It is not financial advice and does not replace Thrivest’s responsible-lending assessment or the terms of the loan contract.

Product

An unsecured personal loan of $2,100 to $15,000, generally repaid over 6 to 36 months by fixed weekly, fortnightly or monthly repayments. Interest and fees apply and are disclosed before a customer enters into a loan contract. The loan is for personal, domestic or household purposes.

Target market

The loan is designed for customers who:

  • are at least 18 years old and live in Australia;

  • are Australian citizens, permanent residents or eligible temporary visa holders, including international students;

  • need a fixed amount for a specific personal, domestic or household purpose and prefer an unsecured loan with scheduled repayments;

  • have regular, stable and verifiable income expected to continue for the loan term; and

  • can afford the repayments after living expenses and existing financial commitments, without substantial hardship or needing further credit.

For temporary visa holders, the visa and any relied-upon work rights must remain valid for the loan term, with the final repayment scheduled before visa expiry.

Not designed for

The loan is not designed for customers who:

  • need credit for business, investment, gambling, cryptocurrency or speculative purposes;

  • are borrowing mainly for recurring living expenses or to refinance unaffordable debt;

  • are experiencing financial hardship or do not have stable, verifiable income and sufficient repayment capacity; or

  • need revolving credit, a secured loan, more than $15,000 or a term longer than 36 months.

Distribution conditions

The loan is distributed directly through Thrivest’s website, application system and trained staff. Thrivest verifies the applicant’s identity, loan purpose, income, expenses, existing commitments, credit history and bank transactions. Visa status, work rights and expiry are also verified where relevant.

The amount, term and repayments must be consistent with the customer’s verified needs and financial situation. Third parties may only distribute the loan if authorised by Thrivest and subject to appropriate training, controls and reporting.

Review and reporting

This TMD will first be reviewed annually. It will be reviewed earlier if complaints, hardship, arrears, defaults, repeat borrowing, dealings outside the target market, a significant dealing, or changes to the product, law or distribution arrangements suggest that the TMD may no longer be appropriate.

Thrivest will review any trigger promptly and pause distribution where required by law.
